Are you really a writer?

Before you embark on a career in writing or written communications, you need to look “within” and be honest with yourself. Writing is NOT an easy career. It requires alot of determination and focus. You have to deal with people who provide only halfway acceptable information, many times, and also, you face incredible expectations on the part of the reader or the person for whom you are writing (e.g. your teacher, your boss, etc.). So, is it really worth the fight?
Ask yourself the following ten questions…and if you can truly say “yes” to each one, then we have something in common - you are as much a true writer as I am - and so then congratulations.
1. Do you enjoy learning?
2. Do you enjoy sharing knowledge that you have mastered and understood?
3. Do you truly wish to enlighten your readers about your subject matter?
4. Are you a dedicated problem solver who is willing to work with details?
5. Is it worth researching and working hard to find small details?
6. Do you care about your readers?
7. Do you believe that your articles and writings will eventually make a difference?
8. Are you willing to apologize to your readers if you accidentally misinform them?
9. When you see a blank piece of paper and a pen, together, do you wish to grab them to write?
10. Do you have patience and perseverance to apply to your writing projects?
Wishing everyone in the USA a nice and restful Memorial Day Weekend. Wishing everyone in the world success with all of your personal and professional endeavors. All the best, Keith

Bonus: Are you fearless?
Many writers suffer from fearing the consequences of a certain stance or opinion. Good list and nice blog!
