Piccolo - you are right, Object Oriented skills outweigh Top Down skills in today&#039;s marketplace, however I still think they matter (at least in part). Antonio - I also see your point about some programmers not having alot of &quot;business sense&quot; - such is the challenge of IT. And Gustavo - yes, you are right curiosity and an inquisitive spirit are absolutely necessary for programming success. Thanks!!</description>

Developers need to have that spirit to learn more about what they are using to construct their software / products (APIs, frameworks... current/new technology in general). Maintenance / support guys should be able to constantly ask themselves &quot;what if&quot; or just have the desire to explore the system beyond what they already know. In my experience, I&#039;ve found this inquisitive spirit very helpful in every project of my professional life.</description>
