Google Picasa:Download This Today

A few days ago, I noticed Google’s advertisement for its freeware program called Picasa, a really cool explorer program for all of your graphic files on your computer. So, I took the plunge and downloaded the program. Well, it is truly amazing. As you start the program (after having first downloaded it and installed it) it asks you to allow it to do an inventory of your graphics files on your computer (a couple different choices you have). After this, Picasa nicely and neatly organizes your graphics files into folders that you can surf through in the right pane of the program. It is really cool, because you can see as many as thirty (30) or forty (40) files at a time, and so if you are blogging or doing some important writing task, you can easily locate the graphic file you need using Picasa.
So, whether you are a student, working professional, retired, or whatever, I recommend Picasa for you. That is right, this program is for everyone, absolutely everyone without reservations. This program will help you to not only view your graphic files that you have on your computer, but it will also help you organize them as well. There are a few editing tools also in Picasa, but I have not checked these out yet, because I currently use a program called Paintshop Pro to do all my image editing. Perhaps one day I will check out the tools that Picasa has and at that time I’ll let you know how they work. In the meantime, just to have this great program to allow me to take a nice inventory of all my computer’s images is just fine. Thanks Google, for such an awesome and also free resource for computer users.

I would say I’m really surprised that you hadn’t heard of Picasa before now, it’s been around for many years, even before Google bought it and started giving it away for free. It is a great tool and definitely comes highly recommended though.
