Most recently, I have been reading (for a second time) a great book by Dr. Deepak Chopra called The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. Even though this is a blog dedicated to computer software, writing, and technology, Technical Writers (alias, all writers) are still part of the physical universe and the general laws of the universe apply to us as well. It certainly doesn’t hurt to understand wise teachings from a great individual like Deepak Chopra, who is an accomplished physician as well as motivational speaker and counselor.

In this book, he cites seven basic laws that he says are the foundation for success in our lives. I will just summarize them because I want to encourage you to read this book completely when you get the chance. It is only about 115 pages, so it is a book you can read in one day.

One. When we realize that our true Self is one of pure potentiality, then we align with the power that manifests everything else in the universe.

Two. And in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.

Three. And when we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others, the fruit of our karma is happiness and success.

Four. And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.

Five. And when we introduce our intention in the fertile ground of pure potentiality, we put this infinite organizing power to work for us.

Six. And in our willingness to step into the unknown, the field of all possibilities, we surrender ourselves to the creative mind that orchestrates the dance of the universe.

Seven. And when we blend a unique talent with service to others we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals.
