Thank You Les Paul

LESPAULOn Thursday, August 13th, a great man passed away by the name of Lester William Polsfuss, also known as Les Paul. His life was a source of inspiration for many, including me. He was not only a great guitarist, but was also the innovator behind the modern electric guitar sound and Gibson Guitar itself stood behind Les Paul and his guitar concepts. What an amazing individual.

The greatest names of rock music like Keith Richards, Pete Townsend, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page all used and still continue to use the Les Paul guitar. Lead singer and guitarist of The Eagles, Joe Walsh, said that there is nothing like the Les Paul guitar – it was and continues to be one of the greatest designs ever for guitars.

You see, music is the universal language we all speak. Behind any document I produce is the phenomena of sound and rhythm that is contained in music. It is great individuals like Les Paul that stand as the foundation behind any accomplished writer. What is a document? Is it not music? Is there not rhythm and energy behind it? Absolutely. So, you see, there is a direct relationship between music and writing.

I thank you, Mr. Les Paul, from the bottom of my heart, for your immense contribution to the world of music, especially guitars. Your creativity has enabled me to play guitar, study the great guitar players of rock history and continue to learn. Subsequently, your positive energies have led me to great accomplishments in my writing career and I have great music standing as my foundation and source of inspiration.

Thank you once again, Mr. Les Paul.

All The Best,

Keith Johnson
