Word 2007 Tip #2: Creating Lists

Microsoft Word 2007 has a very easy list-creation feature. Simply go to the “Home” Tab of the program and in the middle of all the icons you will see the List icon. Click on this icon when you are ready to number text items in your document. Word displays a pop-up window, as follows, when you click on the “Arrow Down” button next to the List icon:

Next, select the specific list image you want to use, or if you wish to import an image from a picture on your computer or another graphics file, select “Define New Bullet”, and MS-Word displays the following pop-up window where you may define your desired image:

Select the “Symbol”, “Picture” or “Font” button to select the graphic you want to use in your lists, and then click OK appropriately. Now, as you create your lists, you have the graphic of your choice as you build your document.
